The SUN!
The sun is a star at the center of the Solar System.The sun was born in a vast cloud of gas and dust about 5 billion years ago.The light from the sun can hit earth in only 8 minutes.That is called the speed of light.The sun i snearly 145 kilometers from earth.Some of you that read this might being thinking that the sun is the biggest star.But no the sun is the biggest star in OUR hi I love you solar system.
Sun Spots
The sun has sun spots. A sun spot is a dark area on the earths surface.
The number of sun spots increases and decreases every 11 years.
A big sun spot has a diameter of about 20,000 miles a lot larger than earth's diameter!
This sun may look dark why, well its cooler than the normal surface of the sun.
They can have a temperature of 7,000 degrees,compare that to 11,000 degrees than the surface.

The Earth!!
The Earth orbits around the sun.For the Earth to fully rotate around the sun it takes 365 days (a year) to rotate all the way around it.The Earth also rotates on a tilt on its axis.Since its on a tilt and rotating around the sun we have day and night.
