The Street

Inspired by the author of Street Music

The endless noise of my street,

Always saying

Screech!

Bang!

Thwack!

When you look in the direction of the sound,

You cannot see it because of tall hills,

As you walk, you can see pebbles.

When you touch them,

Your feelings appear and you can hear

drip, plop,

As it falls dark,

You can hear howls of wind and breath,

Bong, pong, dong!

You hear from a ball from down the street,

The road is stained from animals that have graves,

Do not breathe,

Because there is

blood

within

the

air,

Bong, tack, clack, whack!

You hear from the other side of the street,

Do not walk alone,

For there is lots of pain on the road,

Whack!

You hear on uneasy sides that curve to the end,

Do not let things go,

For that will be the end of them,

this

street!

    Friendly, curious, mammal, intelligent, 

  Star of very funny show,

    Lover of fans that adore him, playing, tuna, and summer,

Who feels happy when fed a tuna,

Sad when no one shows up to his show,

Scared when he sees a polar bear at shore, 

Who needs to stop tipping fishing boats over,

Who gives joy to families that go to the zoo to see him,

Who fears getting left on shore when the high tides go in and a polar bear finds him,

Who dreams of having legs and observing the one they call people
